Dorothy Lank focuses on business
transactions for closely held businesses and regulatory
compliance for non-profit and for-profit entities.
She concentrates on entity formation, contracts
for the sale of goods and/or services, and real estate
agreements. Dorothy also has expertise in corporate mergers and
acquisitions of closely held corporations and preparation of
employment contracts.
She is fluent in Spanish and taught English as a
Second Language in Madrid Spain.
Dorothy has been involved with several nonprofit
entities throughout her working life, as an employee, as a
volunteer. These include John XXIII AIDS Ministry, The
International School of Monterey, The American Women’s Club of
Madrid and Intercambio Denver. She has served on the boards of
John XXIII AIDS Ministry, Opportunity Builders, The
International School of Monterey and SOAR Charter School. Her
particular interests are education, affordable housing, and
teaching English as a Second Language.
Dorothy received a B.A. from the University of
Virginia with a double major in Secondary Education and Spanish
Language and Literature and her J.D. from Stanford Law.
She is admitted to the bar in Colorado and California (inactive
in California). Dorothy is a member of the Western Pension
Benefits Group.
Prior to joining Giller & Calhoun, Dorothy was an
attorney in private practice on California’s Central Coast,
where she worked in business transactions, local government law
and general litigation.
